As a full-time SLP, you’ll work 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday, providing essential speech and language services to elementary school learners. Collaborate closely with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to create positive, lasting outcomes for students.
Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology required
- Active Florida Department of Health SLP license and/or valid Florida teacher certification
- Eligibility to obtain or transfer a JLA Badge (fingerprint clearance required)
- Experience delivering services in an elementary school setting is preferred
- Excellent communication, organizational, and collaboration skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Screen, assess, and diagnose students with speech, language, and communication disorders
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans within the elementary school environment
- Participate in IEP meetings, providing expert input and progress reports
- Consult with educators and families to support carryover and generalization of skills
- Maintain compliant and timely records as designated by policies and best practices
