Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting young learners as a Speech-Language Pathologist for the 2026-2027 school year. Based near Colchester, CT and just a short drive from Norwich, this in-person position offers flexibility for full or part-time schedules during regular school hours (8:30 am – 3:00 pm). Work directly with Pre K through 2nd grade students, making a meaningful impact on their early communication and language development.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid SLP-CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology) or eligibility for Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY)
- Experience or strong interest working in a school setting, especially with Pre K-2 age groups
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, especially for engaging with teachers, staff, and families
- Ability to attend Planning and Placement Team (PPT) meetings and document student progress
- Licensed (or eligibility for licensure) to practice in Connecticut
Core Duties:
- Deliver direct speech and language therapy services to students in Pre K-2
- Assess, diagnose, and develop individualized education plans (IEPs) targeting communication needs
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams during PPT meetings and ongoing student reviews
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation of student progress and session notes
- Work closely with educators and families to support student success in the school environment
