Key qualifications and experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology and appropriate state licensure
- Experience working with school-aged children across K–12 (elementary, middle, and high school ages)
- Strong understanding of IEP processes and special education protocols
- Ability to conduct evaluations, develop treatment plans, and document progress
- Effective communication skills for coordinating with school staff and engaging with parents
- Flexibility and resourcefulness in adapting therapy strategies to meet diverse student needs
Key responsibilities:
- Deliver speech, language, and communication services for students ranging from grades K through 12
- Conduct individual and group therapy sessions tailored to identified student needs
- Perform assessments and collaborate on the creation and implementation of IEPs
- Consult and problem-solve with teachers, aides, and families to maximize student progress in both classroom and remote settings
- Maintain organized, up-to-date records in accordance with school and federal requirements
- Participate in school team meetings and ongoing professional development
