Required Skills and Experience:
- Current Minnesota Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license
- Certification preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC), Pediatric experience, or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) status
- Previous experience in school-based SLP settings (elementary or middle school experience a plus)
- Skilled in evaluations, developing and managing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Proficient in delivering speech and language services to small groups and individual students
- Strong communication abilities for effective collaboration with students, families, and educational teams
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech-language evaluations for students across elementary and middle grade levels
- Participate actively in IEP meetings, collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams to develop and update IEPs
- Provide targeted speech and language therapy, tailored to individual or small group needs, within a school setting
- Maintain accurate and timely records, data collection, and progress monitoring in accordance with school and state guidelines
- Serve as a resource for educators, offering guidance and strategies to support student communication in the classroom
This contract position is full time, running 40 hours per week across 5 days, allowing for an energizing and engaging schedule. You'll be based at just one school, which enables continuity and deeper connections with your students and colleagues.
