Desired Qualifications & Experience:
- Hold an active SLP license with Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
- Previous school-based or pediatric experience, preferably with autistic and nonverbal populations
- Strong understanding of augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) strategies
- Compassionate, patient, and adaptable communicator
- Ability to work collaboratively with educators, staff, and families
- Clinical Fellowships are not eligible for this role
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech and language therapy services to kindergarten students, tailoring interventions for primarily nonverbal, autistic learners
- Develop and implement individualized communication goals within IEP guidelines
- Provide recommendations for AAC devices and strategies to support functional communication
- Collaborate with teachers and support staff to integrate communication objectives into classroom routines
- Maintain accurate documentation and participate in IEP meetings as needed
