Take your expertise in speech-language pathology to an engaging educational setting working closely with elementary students. This full-time contract position runs from September 4th to June 25th, offering the chance to play a vital part in students’ communication and learning development within a supportive school environment.
You will provide direct, school-based SLP services for an elementary caseload, handling all aspects from assessments to therapy and collaborating with educational staff. Your days will run Monday through Friday, 8:15 AM to 3:15 PM, for a total of 35 hours each week.
What We’re Looking For:
- Active NJ SLP licensure (CCC required)
- Previous experience serving in school-based SLP roles
- Comfort working with the district’s procedures and expectations
- Ability to manage and service a diverse caseload and efficiently complete all required testing, evaluations, and assessments
- Must be able to clear onboarding requirements (TB test, physical exam, fingerprinting for both agency and district)
- Reliable transportation and a manageable commute are essential
- Please note: Candidates requiring CF supervision or SLPA roles will not be considered due to supervision limitations
Your Role Will Include:
- Providing direct and consultative speech-language therapy to elementary students
- Completing comprehensive speech/language assessments and developing individualized education plans
- Collaborating with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary staff to support student growth
- Maintaining timely and accurate documentation and progress reports
