Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in Paterson, NJ

This position offers the chance to work full-time (35 hours per week, 8:15AM-3:15PM) in a supportive school environment from September 4th through June 25th. You’ll play a vital role on campus, delivering high-quality interventions and assessments to a diverse caseload, while enjoying a consistent Monday-Friday schedule.
Key Qualifications:
- Active and valid New Jersey SLP licensure required
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
- Prior experience delivering school-based SLP services at the elementary level
- Comfortable adapting to district protocols and collaborating within the school community
- Ability to independently manage a caseload in need, including completing all required evaluations, testing, and student assessments
- Strong organizational skills and clear communication
- Must have reliable transportation and be willing to commute within the area
- Candidates in their Clinical Fellowship (CF) or those credentialed as SLPA cannot be considered due to supervision limitations
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language services to assigned elementary students
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop targeted treatment plans
- Complete all required paperwork, progress monitoring, and evaluation reports in a timely manner
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary support staff to optimize student outcomes
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to team discussions regarding student services
Onboarding Requirements:
- Successful completion of TB screening, physical examination, and fingerprinting (both agency and district)
- Participation in a brief, 15-minute interview
