Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) - Big Bear Lake, CA
Bring your expertise in speech-language pathology to an exciting opportunity supporting students in a vibrant school setting near scenic Big Bear Lake, CA! This full-time, contract role is ideal for a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist passionate about making a difference for K-8th grade students. You’ll join a supportive team focused on collaborative growth, communication, and student success.
We are seeking a candidate who either holds the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or is open to supervision if in their Clinical Fellowship (CF) year. You’ll work on-site alongside educators and other specialists, offering a hands-on approach for students who benefit most from face-to-face engagement. While there is currently a virtual SLP in place, we’re looking for someone ready to provide in-person expertise and energy.
Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- California SLP licensure required
- ASHA CCC preferred; supervision available for CF candidates
- School-based or pediatric experience highly valued
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Comfortable collaborating with educators and multidisciplinary teams
What You’ll Do:
- Assess, diagnose, and provide direct speech and language therapy to a diverse K-8 caseload
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and staff to maximize student outcomes
- Maintain documentation and progress reports in compliance with regulations
- Offer guidance, strategies, and support to classroom teachers for student success
