What we're seeking:

  • Valid Illinois PEL and Speech-Language Pathologist license from IDFPR
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) required
  • Prior experience in school settings preferred
  • Ability to manage a district-wide caseload split between two SLPs (approximately 45 students for a full-time SLP)
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Commitment to onsite-only services (remote options are not available)
  • Inclusion of ISBE number on application, as it’s an absolute requirement

What you’ll be doing:

  • Provide direct speech-language therapy to K-8 students, focusing on individualized education program (IEP) goals
  • Develop treatment plans, conduct student assessments, and document progress
  • Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Maintain compliance with district and union policies
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student support strategies
  • Help prepare for a smooth transition into the new school year
