Key Qualifications:
- Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with required endorsements.
- Illinois Speech-Language Pathologist license from IDFPR.
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred, with substantial school-based SLP experience.
- Experience supporting students across a broad age range (EC-8th grade) and managing a dynamic caseload.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation skills.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and consultative speech and language intervention for a caseload of approximately 70 students (shared between two SLPs).
- Assess, design, and implement individualized therapy plans per IEP requirements.
- Collaborate closely with classroom teachers, special education staff, and families to promote student progress.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records according to regulatory and district policies.
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of student support plans.
- Adhere to union rules and district-specific policies (including timeline for interviews).
This role is on-site only (remote work is not available) and begins in mid-August, concluding in May, aligning with the academic calendar.
