Speech Pathology - Belfast, ME
This contract position offers licensed Speech-Language Pathologists the opportunity to provide essential services across multiple school sites in the Belfast, ME area. Serving students from pre-kindergarten through grade 12, this role involves a dynamic caseload generally ranging from 10 to 15 students, allowing for impactful engagement across a spectrum of developmental and communication needs.
Responsibilities include:
- Delivering speech-language therapy services to students within school settings
- Collaborating with educators, parents, and support staff to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Managing a caseload that requires travel between various school sites
- Documenting student progress and maintaining accurate therapy records
- Adhering to all relevant guidelines, policies, and therapeutic best practices
Qualifications and desired experience:
- Valid state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
- Experience working in school-based settings with children ranging from preschool age to grade 12
- Ability to manage a diverse caseload effectively and adapt therapy approaches accordingly
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Willingness to travel between school sites as required
This position offers a structured schedule of 7 hours per day, 5 days per week, from July 1, 2025, through June 30, 2026. Teletherapy services are not part of this role, emphasizing in-person interaction to best support student outcomes.
