Speech Therapist in Hillsboro, OR
Start an enriching contract in the Portland metropolitan area, supporting students’ communication development as a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist across multiple dynamic school settings. Engage with children and adolescents at both elementary and high school levels, helping them achieve their communication goals and thrive in their educational environment. Flexible assignments are available at Mountainside High (.5 FTE), Findley Elementary (.6 FTE), or a combined role for a full-time experience with internal support provided for the additional coverage. There is also a unique ISC Programs opportunity (1 FTE) providing crucial intervention and support between March 12 and April 22.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Active Oregon state license through the Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathology
- Prior experience in educational or pediatric settings preferred
- Strong collaboration and communication abilities
- Ability to manage a diverse caseload, ranging from elementary through high school
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, multi-campus environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess students’ speech, language, and communication needs across assigned schools
- Design and implement individualized treatment plans that foster student growth
- Deliver direct therapy sessions and consult with teachers and family members
- Maintain thorough, timely documentation in compliance with school and state guidelines
- Participate in student IEP meetings and contribute to collaborative solutions
- Engage in school-based activities and support student integration
