Pediatric School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Bear, Delaware
Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting students as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) for the upcoming school year. Multiple contract positions are available, with roles spanning elementary schools and a specialized school dedicated to serving students with significant medical complexities and intensive support needs.
These positions primarily seek full-time, onsite SLPs, but there is flexibility for hybrid arrangements—three days onsite and two remote each week. Enthusiastic and compassionate SLPA applicants are encouraged to apply as well.
Ideal candidates will have experience or strong interest in pediatrics, healthcare-based speech services, and supporting diverse student populations. Teletherapy expertise is welcomed, and both seasoned professionals and Clinical Fellows are invited to be considered.
Qualifications & Preferred Experience:
- Active SLP-CCC, SLP-CFY, or SLPA license (as applicable)
- Experience in school-based, pediatric, and/or healthcare SLP settings
- Background in teletherapy is a plus
- Strong collaboration and communication abilities
- Passion for working with students requiring intensive supports
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver evidence-based speech and language therapy services
- Conduct assessments and develop IEPs in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team
- Provide therapy tailored to individual student needs, including those with medical complexities
- Maintain thorough records of student progress and required documentation
- Engage in parent and staff consultation as needed
