We are seeking a passionate and student-focused Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join the team at Avondale Elementary School in Arizona. This role offers the opportunity to support K–8 students in developing essential communication skills that directly impact academic success, social development, and classroom participation.
This is a supportive school environment with SLPA assistance available, allowing for strong collaboration and efficient service delivery.
🎯 Key Responsibilities
- Conduct speech-language screenings, evaluations, and comprehensive assessments for K–8 students
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans and IEP goals
- Provide direct and consultative speech-language therapy services
- Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team collaboration
- Maintain accurate documentation, progress monitoring, and compliance records
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student communication needs
- Supervise and collaborate with SLPA staff for service implementation
- Support AAC users and students with a range of speech and language disorders
📌 Arizona State Requirements
Candidates must meet Arizona school-based SLP requirements:
- 🎓 Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- 🪪 Active Arizona Speech-Language Pathology License (or eligibility to obtain)
- 🪪 Active IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card (Arizona Department of Public Safety) required for school employment
- 📚 Compliance with Arizona Department of Education requirements for school-based SLP practice
- 🧠 Knowledge of IDEA regulations, IEP development, and special education procedures
