School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Austin, Arkansas
Make a difference in students’ lives just outside of Little Rock by providing essential speech and language services for a diverse K–12 population. This contract position begins as soon as possible and continues through the end of the school year, offering you the opportunity to work with engaged students and collaborate with supportive educators in a school-based setting.
Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Active ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) required
- Valid state licensure to practice as an SLP
- Previous experience in school-based settings preferred, especially with K–12 students
- Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
- Ability to quickly adapt to new environments and build rapport with students and staff
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations, develop individualized education plans (IEPs), and provide direct speech-language services for students from kindergarten through 12th grade
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and special education teams to support each student's communication goals
- Maintain detailed documentation of progress, assessments, and interventions in compliance with district and state guidelines
- Implement evidence-based therapy sessions in both group and individual formats
- Participate in IEP meetings, student support teams, and professional development opportunities
