School Speech Language Pathologist - Aurora, Illinois
Make a meaningful impact supporting students’ development as a skilled Speech Language Pathologist in a dynamic school-based setting. This contract opportunity is located near Aurora, IL, and will center on delivering quality speech and language services to a middle school caseload. The position is full-time (37.5 hours/week), though part-time candidates will be considered. The specific campus assignment(s) may be at one site or may involve supporting students across multiple schools.
Your expertise will ensure students receive essential evaluations, direct therapy, and collaboration within an engaging education environment. You’ll have the chance to use your bilingual Spanish and English skills to reach a diverse group of learners and work closely with educators and families.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current Illinois Professional Educator License with SLP endorsement AND Illinois SLP license
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC) required
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English is essential
- Prior experience working in school settings is strongly preferred
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluating students across a middle school caseload to assess speech, language, and communication needs
- Delivering direct therapy and developing individualized treatment plans
- Collaborating with teachers, special educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
- Documenting progress and participating in IEP meetings
- Providing services in accordance with the state cap, typically managing a caseload averaging 45 students
This is an on-site only position, providing meaningful in-person interaction and teamwork. Flexible scheduling options may be available for part-time applicants.
