Speech Language Pathologist in Aurora, IL

As a contract Speech Language Pathologist, you'll foster connection and growth among middle schoolers, using both your clinical expertise and your bilingual skills to bridge gaps and empower students. Enjoy the fulfillment of supporting a manageable caseload—averaging around 45 students—while benefiting from a consistent, full-time schedule (37.5 hours per week). There's also flexibility for those interested in part-time assignments, depending on your work-life balance needs. Caseload, age group, and locations will vary based on school assignment, and you'll be working with middle-school aged students either in one assigned building or possibly traveling between multiple sites within the district.
Essential Qualifications:
- Active IL Professional Educator License with SLP endorsement
- Current Illinois SLP license
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
- Bilingual abilities: Fluent in Spanish and English
- Prior experience in school-based or pediatric speech therapy is strongly preferred
- Adaptability and strong communication skills within diverse school settings
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct assessment, intervention, and progress monitoring for middle school students with speech and language needs
- Collaborate with general and special education staff, administrators, and families
- Conduct evaluations, develop IEP goals, and document progress
- Serve as a linguistic and cultural resource for bilingual students
