Key Qualifications:
- Current Illinois Professional Educator License with SLP endorsement
- Valid Illinois SLP license
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English required
- Previous experience working with middle-school-aged children preferred
- Flexibility to work full-time (37.5 hours/week) or part-time
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language therapy services to a caseload averaging 45 students under the state cap
- Provide intervention and assessment for a diverse middle school population
- Document student progress and maintain compliance with school and state guidelines
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and support staff to develop and implement individualized educational plans (IEPs)
- Serve as a resource for the school team regarding communication disorders and effective strategies
- May support one or more schools depending on final caseload assignment
- Engage actively in professional development and school meetings as needed
