Pediatric School Speech Therapist | Aurora, Illinois
Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting elementary students as a contracted bilingual (Spanish) Speech-Language Pathologist or Clinical Fellow. This role is based at a single school, providing full-time support to students from ages 2 to 22 with moderate to severe disabilities. Responsibilities include:
- Plan and provide individualized speech-language therapy, addressing assistive technology, augmentative communication, social language skills, articulation, voice, oral-motor function, feeding, and delays in receptive and expressive language
- Conduct thorough diagnostic and evaluation testing as needed
- Prepare clear, insightful student assessment and observation reports
- Work comfortably with students across a wide age and ability range
- Develop, implement, and maintain IEP objectives
- Collaborate and communicate proactively with parents, teachers, and peers regarding student progress and needs
Preferred qualifications:
- Eligible for or holds Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) and Professional Educator License (PEL)
- At least 1–2 years of experience as a speech-language pathologist preferred; CFYs with strong foundations considered
- Fluent in Spanish
- Effective communicator with a team-oriented mindset
- Flexible and skilled in creative problem-solving
