Pediatric School-Based Speech Language Pathologist | Auburn, Washington
Step into a rewarding contract role supporting students’ speech and language development in a dynamic school-based environment near Auburn, WA! This position provides the opportunity to work with a variety of pediatric populations and developmental levels while collaborating with interdisciplinary teams across the school year (CSY), extended school year (ESY), and non-standard year (NSY) terms. Work 35 hours per week with flexibility built in to support a healthy work-life balance.
Essential Qualifications & Experience:
- Active Washington State SLP license is required
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in pediatrics or school settings is strongly preferred
- Eligible candidates include SLP-CCC, Clinical Fellows (SLP-CFY), and those with backgrounds in healthcare and school-based services
- Must have an active Medicaid provider number and current CAQH profile
- Credentialing with other major insurance companies required
Responsibilities Include:
- Conduct comprehensive speech-language assessments and interpret results
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored for each student’s unique needs
- Provide intervention for a broad range of speech, language, and communication disorders
- Collaborate regularly with educators, families, and other related service providers
- Document progress and maintain compliance with federal, state, and district policies
- Participate in IEP meetings and team consultations as needed
