Key Qualifications:
- Bilingual Spanish proficiency is essential for effective communication with students and families.
- Active CDE (Colorado Department of Education) licensure must be obtained prior to starting.
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) required.
- Previous experience in school-based settings strongly preferred.
- Willingness to support and pitch Clinical Fellows (CFs).
- Flexibility and adaptability to travel between campuses are crucial.
- Strong commitment to serving diverse student populations.
- Excellent documentation, communication, and collaboration skills.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language therapy to students, following individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Assess, diagnose, and develop treatment plans for students with a variety of speech, language, and communication needs.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to promote student success.
- Travel between assigned locations within the district as part of the itinerant role.
- Maintain accurate records and progress reports in compliance with school and state requirements.
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute professional insight to students’ academic support teams.
