A full-time itinerant Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available serving both elementary and middle school students in Alexandria, VA. Key Qualifications and Experience:

  • Licensed or eligible Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP credential required)
  • Experience working with pediatric populations; school-based experience is a plus but not mandatory
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage effectively with students, staff, and families
  • Ability to develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to student needs
  • Flexibility and adaptability to work in multiple school locations as part of the itinerant role

Responsibilities:

  • Assess, diagnose, and treat speech and language disorders in elementary and middle school students
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to support student communication goals
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of student progress and services provided
  • Provide therapy sessions both individually and in small groups within school settings
  • Participate in meetings and contribute to the development of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
