Elementary Middle School SLP in Richmond, VA
A full-time itinerant Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available within a school setting in Richmond, VA. This role involves providing speech-language services to a diverse caseload of elementary and middle school students. The ideal candidate will have experience working with pediatric populations and demonstrate a strong commitment to supporting student communication needs.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language evaluations, therapy, and progress monitoring for students in elementary and middle school grades
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and treatment plans
- Adapt therapy approaches to meet the unique needs of a varied student population
- Manage an itinerant caseload with both elementary and middle school students, typically around 50 students, ensuring caseload remains manageable (never exceeding 55)
Qualifications:
- Certified Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) credential required
- Experience working with pediatric clients, preferably in school or related settings
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively in a school environment and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
- Willingness to work as an itinerant provider across elementary and middle school locations
Location: Richmond, VA
This contract position offers a competitive hourly pay rate ranging from $49 to $59, determined by experience, education, certifications, and district considerations. Specific details regarding location and caseload will be shared during the interview process.
