Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Hold a current Virginia SLP license or be eligible to obtain one
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) is preferred
- Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates welcomed
- Experience with elementary-aged students is an advantage
- Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation skills
What You’ll Do:
- Assess, diagnose, and provide individualized therapy for speech, language, and communication disorders in elementary-age children
- Develop and update students’ Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) alongside teachers, parents, and support staff
- Offer both direct and classroom-based interventions
- Track student progress and maintain compliance with documentation in accordance with state and federal guidelines
- Engage in IEP meetings and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure cohesive support for each student
