School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Apple Valley, California

This full-time contract opportunity is ideal for an experienced Speech-Language Pathologist eager to work onsite and help students achieve communication milestones. The role involves collaborating closely with educators, families, and support staff, ensuring each student receives tailored intervention and achieves their individual educational goals. While having a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) is preferred, supervision arrangements can be considered for the right candidate.
Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- California SLP license (active and in good standing)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) strongly preferred; supervision can be arranged as needed
- Prior experience working in a K-8 school setting is highly valued
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver on-site speech-language therapy to students in grades K-8
- Conduct assessments, write individualized education plans (IEPs), and document progress
- Provide direct and consultative services to students with diverse speech and language needs
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to develop effective intervention strategies
- Maintain accurate and timely records in accordance with school policies and state regulations
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to planning and evaluation
