Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in Andover, MN
Make a significant impact in the upcoming 2026/2027 school year as a Speech-Language Pathologist supporting students’ growth and communication skills. This contract opportunity is based near Andover, MN, and offers a dynamic role within educational settings.
Initially, this assignment focuses on covering a maternity leave at a local elementary school through Thanksgiving break. Afterward, your role will adapt to provide support in other school buildings where needed. If there are no additional leaves to cover, you’ll deliver compensatory services to students who previously missed services, ensuring every child receives vital support.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Minnesota School SLP License (required)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA
- Experience providing SLP services in K-12 school environments
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Familiarity with delivering compensatory services is a plus
- Flexibility to move between school buildings as assignments shift
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech-language therapy to students with diverse needs
- Collaborate with faculty, staff, and families to ensure continuity of care
- Develop, implement, and update IEPs according to state and federal guidelines
- Document progress and maintain accurate records on student services
- Adapt to changing placement needs throughout the assignment
- Address compensatory service requirements when covering non-leave assignment periods
