School Speech Language Pathologist - Andover, Kansas
Andover, KS
Make a difference in the lives of young learners by providing Speech-Language Pathology services at an early childhood education setting this fall. This in-person, contract opportunity offers the chance to work collaboratively with a supportive team, serving preschool and early elementary students—many utilizing augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices. Two unique scheduling options are available, depending on your availability.
Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Active state licensure in Speech-Language Pathology (Kansas license preferred)
- Previous experience in a school setting, ideally with early childhood or Pre-K populations
- Comfort and proficiency working with AAC devices
- Strong collaboration skills; ability to co-manage caseloads with other SLPs
Role Details: Option 1:
- Expected assignment October to December (pending current candidate's status), 12–15 weeks
- Three days per week onsite
- Responsibilities include direct therapy, assessment, developing IEP goals, and documentation
- Caseload consists of early childhood/Pre-K students, shared with another SLP covering a MAT leave
Option 2:
- Assignment from September to November/December
- Two days per week onsite
- Focus on direct intervention and specialized services for young students, primarily supporting the "littles"
- AAC assessment and implementation alongside another SLP
