Exciting opportunities are available for experienced Speech-Language Pathologists seeking rewarding contract roles in a supportive elementary school environment near Wichita, KS. These positions focus on early childhood, Pre-K students, and individuals utilizing AAC devices.
Multiple scheduling options are available to accommodate your preferences:
Role Option 1:
- Expected duration: October to December (12-15 weeks, start date pending candidate selection)
- Schedule: 3 days per week
- Caseload: Early childhood/Pre-K/AAC devices, shared with colleague working 2 days per week
Role Option 2:
- Expected duration: September to November/December
- Schedule: 2 days per week
- Caseload: Support for Pre-K/early childhood students and AAC device users, splitting responsibilities with the 3-day provider; focus is exclusively on early learners
Both roles are in-person, based at a welcoming elementary school. Collaboration, flexibility, and compassion are valued as you join a team dedicated to student growth and communication success.
What you bring:
- Current licensure and certification as an SLP-CCC
- Experience in school settings, particularly with early childhood/Pre-K populations
- Familiarity with AAC devices
- Strong communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to delivering compassionate, student-first therapy
- Ability to collaborate with other SLPs to share caseloads effectively
- Availability for on-site presence for the contracted schedule
Responsibilities include:
- Conducting evaluations and therapy sessions
- Developing, adapting, and implementing individualized treatment plans
- Coordinating with classroom teachers and families
- Documenting student progress and maintaining compliance with school guidelines
- Sharing caseload management and resources with fellow SLP
