Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) - Anaheim, CA
Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting elementary students as an SLPA during a maternity leave coverage spanning from October 1st to February 1st. Located conveniently near Anaheim, this position offers a full 32.5-hour work week, Monday through Friday, working closely with a dynamic school-based therapy team.
Your expertise will make a true difference for children with moderate to severe needs. You’ll collaborate with educators and a supervising Speech-Language Pathologist to deliver high-quality speech and language support, ensuring every student has the tools to express themselves and succeed in the classroom.
Desired Qualifications:
- Current SLPA license/certification in California
- Previous experience working in school settings with moderate to severe caseloads
- Familiarity with IEPs and progress documentation
- Strong communication and organizational abilities
- Collaborative approach, positive attitude, and a passion for working with children
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement speech-language therapy plans under the supervision of a certified SLP
- Provide direct support to elementary students with moderate to severe communication needs
- Collect data and assist in preparation of student progress reports
- Modify activities or approaches as guided by the supervising SLP to meet individual goals
- Communicate regularly with teachers, staff, and families to optimize student outcomes
