Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Active, valid SLP license for South Dakota (or eligibility to obtain)
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) strongly preferred
- Prior experience with pediatric caseloads in a school-based setting
- Ability to collaborate closely with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills
Responsibilities:
- Assess and diagnose speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders in students
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that support students’ educational goals
- Provide direct therapy services (individual and group) to children with diverse backgrounds
- Document progress, maintain accurate records, and provide data for IEP meetings
- Consult with educators and families on effective strategies for supporting student communication
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and contribute to the development of IEPs
- Adapt therapy methods to best support student engagement and progress
