Qualifications & Preferred Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Active SLP license in the state of Virginia, or ability to obtain one prior to start date
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP), or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates are encouraged to apply
- Experience working in school-based or pediatric therapy environments preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational abilities and the capacity to balance a varied caseload
- Compassionate, collaborative, and student-centered approach
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and indirect speech-language therapy services to students with a variety of needs
- Manage a caseload of approximately 50, with some students requiring indirect services only once a month
- Complete evaluations, develop individualized education plans (IEPs), and provide progress reports
- Consult and collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student growth
- Maintain accurate records, therapy logs, and compliance with school/district guidelines
