Skilled Nursing Facility Speech Pathologist | Gallatin, Tennessee
Exciting opportunity for a Speech-Language Pathologist interested in working with school-age and preschool students in a dynamic educational environment! A contract position is available for an SLP who would enjoy covering two consecutive maternity leaves—one in an elementary school setting and the other in a preschool/comprehensive developmental classroom. These assignments are located in the beautiful region near Gallatin, TN.
This role is perfect for dedicated professionals enthused by the idea of supporting student development and collaborating with school teams. The first assignment runs from mid-January to early April with elementary students (K–5), serving a caseload of about 40 children. The second placement is in a PK/Comprehensive Developmental classroom from early April through the end of the school year, managing a caseload of approximately 34 preschoolers.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid SLP licensure in Tennessee
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC) preferred; strong CFY applicants are welcome
- Pediatric and school-based SLP experience highly valued
- Ability to manage evaluations, attend meetings, and support IEP development
- Experience with a range of communication and developmental needs in children
Responsibilities:
- Conduct student evaluations and re-evaluations
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Document progress and maintain compliance with district paperwork requirements
- Attend IEP and related meetings
- Provide therapy to diverse student populations across two caseloads
This full-time contract offers steady daytime hours with a 30-minute lunch break, providing a predictable routine in two supportive school environments.

$2,141 - $2,258/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 40 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
