School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) | Full-Time | Detroit, MI | 2026-2027 School Year
We are currently seeking dedicated Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) for multiple full-time school-based opportunities in the Detroit, Michigan area for the 2026-2027 school year.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive educational environment while making a meaningful impact on students across a variety of grade levels. Candidates should be comfortable managing a caseload independently and providing comprehensive speech-language services within a school setting.
Position Details
- 2 full-time openings available
- 35 hours per week
- 2026-2027 school year
- Potential opportunity for Extended School Year (ESY) services
- Onsite position
- Flexible daily schedule based on the school day
- Primarily elementary and middle school caseloads
- Candidates should be comfortable supporting students from PreK-12th grade as needed
Responsibilities
- Conduct speech-language evaluations and assessments
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Provide direct and indirect speech-language therapy services
- Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions
- Complete progress reports, documentation, and compliance requirements
- Collaborate with teachers, families, administrators, and related service providers
- Manage a caseload independently and maintain all required timelines
Student Population
Students may present with a variety of communication needs, including articulation, language disorders, autism spectrum disorder, social communication deficits, fluency disorders, AAC needs, and other speech-language challenges.
Qualifications
- Active Michigan Speech-Language Pathology License
- Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- ASHA CCC-SLP preferred
- Previous school-based experience preferred
- Ability to independently manage evaluations, therapy services, IEPs, and case management responsibilities
