Key Skills and Background:
- Current TN SLP license required
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) status
- Previous experience in school settings, pediatrics, or healthcare-related SLP preferred
- Expertise in evaluating and treating speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders in children
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities for working with students, teachers, and families
- Comfortable adapting therapy plans to individual student needs
- SLPAs are not eligible for this position
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech-language therapy services to a diverse caseload of school-aged students
- Conduct comprehensive assessments, interpret results, and develop individualized education program (IEP) goals
- Document progress, maintain accurate records, and participate in IEP meetings
- Provide consultative support to educators and families to maximize student success
- Adhere to all federal, state, and district requirements for documentation and service delivery
- Engage in ongoing professional development to remain current in the field
