Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in Rome, GA

Qualifications and Experience:
- Active state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders
- Recent clinical experience in a hospital or acute care setting preferred
- Experience with a variety of ages and medical diagnoses
- Strong understanding of therapy interventions, evaluations, and documentation requirements in healthcare
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to work collaboratively on an interdisciplinary care team
Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and develop individualized treatment plans for patients with speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders
- Provide both individual and group therapy sessions as indicated
- Document all patient interactions, progress, and recommendations accurately and timely, following hospital policy and regulatory requirements
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers on goals, strategies, and home programming
- Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, occupational and physical therapists, and other healthcare professionals
- Participate in interdisciplinary meetings as needed to optimize patient care
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical and professional standards

$1,936 - $2,048/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 40 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
