Speech Therapist in Seattle, WA
Contribute your expertise as a Speech-Language Pathologist in a dynamic hospital setting supporting patients in their communication and swallowing rehabilitation needs. Schedule/Hours:
- Full-time, contract-based assignment
Qualifications:
- Valid state license as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Previous experience in a hospital or acute care environment strongly preferred
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA desirable
- Strong assessment, documentation, and therapy planning skills
- Excellent communication abilities with patients, families, and colleagues
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and treat patients with speech, language, cognitive, voice, and swallowing disorders
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans to promote patient recovery and functional improvement
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other hospital staff in patient care planning
- Document assessments, progress notes, and outcomes according to hospital policy and regulatory requirements
- Educate patients and their families on communication strategies and home exercises
- Maintain high standards of care and adhere to ethical and professional codes of conduct
