In this dynamic role, you’ll expand your knowledge with exposure to various workplace practices, EMR platforms (Homecare Advisor and EPIC), and patient care methodologies. By collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and engaging with patients in diverse home environments, you’ll grow both professionally and personally. The flexibility of the schedule allows for meaningful adventures during your off-hours—enjoy the region’s hiking, vibrant arts scene, and charming waterfronts.
Schedule:
- 4 days per week (flexible)
- 8 hours per day (flexible start time), generally 8:00 am–4:30 pm
The ideal candidate will bring:
- Current Washington State Speech Language Pathologist licensure
- Experience or strong interest in providing therapy in a home health setting
- Proficiency with electronic charting (Homecare Advisor, EPIC a plus)
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel; estimated 250 miles per week
- Excellent communication and critical thinking abilities
Primary responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech-language and swallowing evaluations in patient homes
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation via EMR systems
- Provide patient and caregiver education, optimizing outcomes and functional independence
- Adapt care approaches for diverse home settings and patient populations
