Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Communications or Speech-Language Pathology, or Communication Disorders
- Experience working with children in a school environment preferred
- Effective communication, collaboration, and documentation skills
- SLPA licensure is not required for Virginia
- Enthusiasm for supporting speech and language development in diverse learners
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech-language support services under the supervision of an SLP
- Assist with classroom-based and small group interventions
- Document student progress and support preparation of materials
- Engage with staff and families to promote positive student outcomes
- Adapt activities and strategies to support individualized education plans (IEPs)
