Key Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Speech-Language Pathology, or Communication Disorders (SLPA license not required in Virginia)
- Previous experience working with children or youth in a school or educational setting highly desirable
- Demonstrated understanding of speech and language disorders, articulation, fluency, and language strategies
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with students, teachers, and families
- Ability to adapt to varying school environments and student needs
- Commitment to providing compassionate, student-centered support
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver structured speech-language services to students under the guidance of licensed Speech-Language Pathologists
- Implement individualized education program (IEP) goals and document student progress
- Assist with screenings, therapy sessions, and data collection as part of the school’s special services team
- Collaborate with faculty and classroom staff to ensure cohesive support for students’ development
- Communicate with families and staff about progress, challenges, and strategies to reinforce at home or in the classroom
- Participate in team meetings, training, and professional development sessions

- Full-time, consistent schedule: 35 hours per week (Monday through Friday, 7-hour days)
