Step into a dynamic school-based setting supporting students as a contract Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant. Collaborate with dedicated professionals to deliver impactful therapy and intervention to elementary through high school students. With an assignment beginning in August 2026 and running through late May 2027, you'll play a critical role across a single campus (site location to be confirmed), working with a caseload of approximately 60-65 students in grades K–12.
In this full-time position (up to 37.5 hours per week), your skills will directly contribute to student success in communication and language development. Bilingual Spanish/English professionals are highly valued for their ability to serve diverse student populations. This is an on-site role; remote work is not available.
Qualifications:
- Valid Texas Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) license
- Experience or interest in working with K–12 students within school settings
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
- Completion or verification of fingerprint background check through TEA (allow up to 10 business days)
- Bilingual Spanish/English proficiency preferred
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct therapy to students as outlined in Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Collaborate with lead SLPs, educators, and families to implement and adapt strategies
- Collect data on student progress, complete necessary documentation, and maintain records
- Support students individually or in group settings to target speech and language goals
- Foster an inclusive, encouraging environment for student learning and growth
