School Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) | Tyrone, Pennsylvania
Step into a dynamic role working alongside a licensed Tele SLP, supporting a diverse caseload in a contract-based setting. This position offers the opportunity to work with elementary, middle, and high school students, impacting a mixed student population across three buildings in the area near Tyrone, PA. As an SLPA, you’ll be responsible for direct interventions and collaborative support to maximize student progress.
In this role, you’ll have the chance to work 35 hours per week with a manageable caseload of approximately 41 students, subject to change as needs evolve. Responsibilities include delivering 55 therapy sessions weekly—16 individual and 37 group, each lasting 30 minutes. Your contribution will ensure continuity of care and help students achieve their speech and language goals.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Active state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)
- Previous school-based experience is highly desired
- Strong collaborative skills to coordinate with a Tele SLP partner
- Ability to manage a flexible caseload and travel between multiple buildings
- Excellent communication, organizational, and documentation skills
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language services to students in line with IEP goals
- Implement therapy determined by supervising SLP
- Maintain timely documentation and case notes
- Collaborate on assessment, planning, and progress reporting
- Participate in staff meetings and professional development as required
