School Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) - Thermal, California
Step into a dynamic opportunity supporting students across a diverse school setting as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant for the upcoming 26/27 academic year. This full-time, full-school-year contract role offers a chance to make lasting connections and real impact with K-12 learners—primarily in preschool—with possible itinerant assignments throughout the district. As part of a robust team with tele-supervision from experienced SLPs, you’ll help address a full range of communication needs, from mild-moderate to some severe cases and AAC device support.
Candidates who are bilingual in Spanish and passionate about student success will thrive here. Prior experience in schools is preferred, and familiarity with SEIS and Paradigm systems is a plus. To ensure continuity and maximize student progress, successful applicants will be those ready to commit to at least a year-long placement. Certificate of Clearance (COC) is required prior to start.
Key qualifications for this role include:
- Bilingual fluency in Spanish
- Active SLPA license
- Certificate of Clearance (COC)
- Experience or comfort supporting K-12 (especially PreK) populations
- Previous exposure to SEIS and Paradigm platforms preferred
- Willingness to travel within the district as needed
- Commitment to a full academic year
- Experience with AAC devices a plus
- Previous school-based work highly valued
