Speech Pathology Assistant - Thermal, CA

Your main focus will be providing speech and language services to students with a range of needs, primarily mild to moderate but including some severe cases and those utilizing AAC devices. The role is likely itinerant, allowing you to work across different school sites and impact a wide range of students. Bilingual Spanish skills are greatly valued, reflecting the community’s rich linguistic diversity.
Requirements:
- Current licensure as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) in California
- Certificate of Clearance (COC) required prior to start date
- Previous experience in a school setting highly preferred
- Strongly prefer bilingual Spanish speakers
- Comfortable providing services to Early Childhood/PreK populations
- Experience or familiarity with AAC devices beneficial
- Willingness to work onsite; remote candidates are not currently being considered
- Open to travel SLPAs with relevant experience and credentials
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech-language therapy services to PreK students
- Collaborate with supervising SLPs, teachers, and school staff
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress notes
- Support both mild-moderate and some severe needs students, including AAC users
- Serve itinerantly within the district as assigned
