Key Qualifications:
- Active professional SLPA license required
- Previous experience in a school setting, specifically with elementary-age children, highly desirable
- Must complete state-specific background check and fingerprinting
- Able to provide documentation of work history, including prior employment with Lamar Consolidated Independent School District, and disclose any terminations from school districts (required affidavit)
- Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language therapy services under the supervision of a licensed SLP
- Carry out individualized treatment plans to support student growth in language, articulation, and social communication
- Maintain accurate student records, progress notes, and data collection as required by district standards
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to encourage student participation and success
- Travel between one or two assigned elementary school sites, as needed, with site assignment based on candidate location
