Your role will focus on supporting students across primarily one school—with occasional, short-term assignments at nearby sites based on your home location and expertise. You’ll handle a caseload averaging 80–90 students, serve a variety of age groups (elementary through high school), and work closely with teams using AAC devices—making every day a chance to impact student growth and your own professional development.
Qualifications:
- Current professional SLPA license for Texas
- Experience in school-based settings, preferably with elementary and secondary-aged students
- Experience with AAC devices a strong plus
- State fingerprinting/background check eligibility
- Ability to complete time-sensitive credentialing steps
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consultative speech-language services to students
- Manage an assigned caseload, occasionally floating to another site as needed
- Collaborate with educators, families, and other specialists to develop and implement individual student plans
- Document progress and maintain compliance with district and state requirements
- Adapt interventions utilizing technology and assistive communication (AAC) tools
