This full-time travel role (with part-time options around 30 hours per week) places you in dynamic school settings primarily at one campus, with the occasional opportunity to float between two. Serving elementary through high school students, you'll enhance your expertise working with a diverse group of learners and collaborate with forward-thinking professionals. Exposure to different workplace practices, leadership styles, and caseloads (ranging from 80–100+, depending on experience and enrollment) will help you build an impressive resume and gain skills for future advancement. Experience with AAC devices is a plus.
Qualifications:
- Active SLPA license in Texas (or eligible)
- Experience in school-based settings (elementary through high school)
- AAC device proficiency preferred
- Must pass state-required fingerprinting and background check
- Will be asked if you’ve previously worked at this district and about any prior school district terminations (affidavit required)
- Professionalism, adaptability, and strong communication skills
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech-language services to assigned caseload
- Collaborate with teachers, SLPs, and school staff
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress monitoring
- Support students with varying communication needs, including AAC users
- Floating to a second campus as needed
