Your experience and attributes:
- Current certification as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)
- Prior experience working in a school or pediatric setting strongly preferred
- Skillful at supporting speech and language interventions under the supervision of a licensed SLP
- Ability to establish rapport and motivate high school students
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Organized, flexible, and receptive to feedback
What you'll do:
- Provide direct and indirect support to high school students with communication needs
- Implement individualized therapy plans created by supervising SLPs
- Monitor, document, and report student progress
- Collaborate with special education staff, families, and other professionals
- Participate in team meetings, professional development, and contribute to positive school culture
- Adapt to varied settings, including scheduled WFH days and onsite responsibilities
