Position Overview
- Schedule: Full-Time
- Caseload: Middle School
- Dates: ASAP - June 12, 2027
- Additional assignment details will be discussed during the interview.
Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one and small-group support to students with special education needs.
- Assist students with academic, behavioral, and classroom needs throughout the school day.
- Implement behavioral and classroom support strategies as directed by teachers and special education staff.
- Support students with autism and other disabilities in accessing the classroom and participating in school activities.
- Assist teachers with classroom activities, student supervision, and daily routines.
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and multidisciplinary teams to support student success.
- Assist students with personal care needs, including toileting and diapering, as required.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous school-based experience as a paraprofessional, teacher aide, classroom aide, RBT, or similar role preferred.
- Experience supporting students with autism and/or special education needs strongly preferred.
- Experience providing one-on-one or small-group student support.
- Experience implementing behavioral and classroom support strategies.
- Strong communication, reliability, and professionalism.
- Must be comfortable assisting students with personal care needs, including toileting and diapering, as required.
- Must have reliable transportation.
