Speech Pathology Assistant - Canyon City, OR
Step into an engaging school-based environment as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) in an itinerant, onsite contract role. You’ll work throughout schools in the Canyon City area, collaborating alongside a supportive remote Speech-Language Pathologist. Your presence will make a direct, positive impact on students as you deliver quality intervention and support across multiple sites.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Active SLPA licensure
- Experience in school-based settings preferred
- Ability to work itinerantly and travel between school sites as needed
- Strong communication skills for collaborating remotely with supervising SLP
- Organized, self-motivated, and able to adapt to varied schedules and locations
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct therapy to students as prescribed by a remote supervising SLP
- Follow and implement Individualized Education Plan (IEP) goals and recommendations
- Document progress and maintain accurate records
- Communicate effectively with the supervising SLP, educators, and families
- Travel between school sites in accordance with students’ needs (mileage reimbursement provided)
