School-Based Speech Language Pathologist Assistant - Prairie City, OR
Take your expertise as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to the next level by supporting students in a dynamic, school-based setting. This onsite, itinerant opportunity places you at the heart of student services, working closely with a remote SLP who will guide and collaborate with you to deliver essential communication support. You’ll play a key part in fostering student progress and success across multiple educational sites.
Candidates with prior school-based experience will thrive in this fast-paced environment, as you’ll travel between campuses to provide services and interventions. Your organizational skills and adaptability will be valued as you build rapport with students, staff, and your supervising SLP. Mileage reimbursement is available to support your travel between locations.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Active SLPA license or certification, meeting state requirements
- Previous school-based experience preferred
- Familiarity working in itinerant roles or supporting multiple campuses
- Comfortable collaborating virtually with a supervising SLP
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech-language services to students, following prescribed therapy plans
- Document sessions and student progress, maintaining accurate records
- Collaborate with classroom educators and support teams as needed
- Adapt session materials and strategies for individual student needs
- Travel between assigned sites, with support for mileage
